Hey guys!
On my last post I talked about my very first pair or circle lenses. A
lot of you (or at least those who left a comment) were interested to see
how they would look on me. So finally my eye infection is gone so here
they are....
Brand: Geo Medical
Design: Angel Brown
Origin: Korea
Diameter: 14.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Water Content: 38%
Lifespan: 1 year disposable
These are the smallest size in circle lenses yet I feel like they made my eyes look like this (O.O). Here is a close up.
I can't describe how much I love them already. I've you've followed me for a while you know my eyes are small. Here is a picture from an older blogpost. So I think they make a difference on my eyes.
I'm a first time contact user, I actually didn't have any problem to put them on or taking them off, but I could feel the lenses in there all the time. I only wore them for 1 hour, just to start getting my eyes used to them. I did noticed that with flash they look very fake, in the sense that they will make you look lifeless. You can see where my eye ends and begins. Not really a big problem though because I mostly plan on using them during the day.
Anyways, I can't really write more about these lenses because I'm not an expert, so maybe next time.

My First Circle Lenses
Hey guys!
For a very long time I had been considering getting a pair or circle lenses. I was really hesitant to get them all due to the bad publicity they gave them on Good Morning America and that article on the New York Times. But after reading so much about I just came to the conclusion that they ran out of stories and just decided to sensationalized circle lenses.
So I spent literally 2 months deciding which pair to buy and where to buy it from. Because apparently there are a lot of fake lenses from China. Anyways, I decided to buy from pinkyparadise. My package arrived last week, but I didn't open the lenses because I had no solution, so I opened them until I got the solution. (Off topic paragraph coming up next.)
Can you imagine how excited I was? like "Tomorrow I'm going to finally try they on!!!" wrong I couldn't. I got sick. I started with a little sore throat which developed into a fever. I was coughing up blood and my right eye got an infection and it blurred mi vision. So I went to the hospital because I was scared I had TB or something. Turns out my tonsils were swollen and have a mild infection on my bronchial tubes. So I can't put on my lenses for the next five days until my eye heals. Sucks.
So anyways, here is what I received form pinky paradise.
My lenses, dariya blue velcro hair things and animal lense case. I got blue bears.
The lenses are Geo Angel Brown, and the diameter is 14.0 which is the smallest size of circle lenses. I have never worn contacts so I just decided to try these and if I like them and have no problems I will try bigger diameters.
Here is a closeup of the lenses, super pretty! I want to wear them nao!

Room Decor
Hey guys!
I'm so sorry for the lack of posts. The thing is that I'm moving into a new room. Well I actually have been sleeping in my new room for a couple of days. My new room It used to be my dad/sister's office/study area. But since my sister got married and moved with her husband, and because of something I can't talk about happened (I can't talk about it because it is more related to my parents than it is to me) my old room was taken away with everything in it.
So you can guess that I needed new furniture, bed, mattress, closet, paint it, and adapt it for living conditions, and I'm broke because of that. I've spent most of the past weekends doing all of these things. Weekends are the only days that I can take photos for blogging purposes. My theme for the room is Shabby Chic/Liz Lisa style without the distressed furniture.
PS Because some people think this is my room. This NOT my room, This is inspiration for my room. I wished my room looked like that, heck I even wish it was at leastthis big, my room is tiny.
My room is not finished yet, I still have to finish my closet, and buy furniture. All of that is so expensive! It is also quite difficult because my room is very small, and all my stuff doesn't fit, so I'm going to sell some clothes and makeup again. I don't really want to show it as of right now. But I will tell you the color... guess?
Pink of course lol. I decided to go with the color in the middle, Strawberry Mousse, and it's so pink! I wasn't expecting it to be so pink, because the swatch in real life looks like a pale pink, but it turned out more like a bubblegum pink. But I do like the color, even my boyfriend said it was pretty.
Anyways, here is the list of things I still need
- Trashcan
- Shelves
- Curtains
- Rug
- Desk
- A chair for my desk
- Dresser ( white one)
- A comforter/duvet.. whatever is fine
- finish my closet
- ahh never ending list
If any of you can reccomend me places to get room decor I will love you forever!

SM Town in Anaheim!
Hey guys!
Sorry I've so M.I.A. these weeks. I realized that I haven't even posted a video on youtube in nearly 2 months. I have been busy with school, I'm having exam after exam, and homework, and work. I actually, had 2 weeks of Spring Break, and guess what I did? STUDY! The first day of class coming from spring break we had a test. My professors are so inconsiderate.
Anyways, this week, AllKpop posted the news that the SM Town tour was set to start in May in Anaheim! I live in San Diego, so it's only 2 hours away! A lot people were complaining about the short notice, because, I think it was on Monday that they announced the tour, and the tickets went on sale on Thursday April 5th. Only 3 days notice to get the money!.
Especially when you see the ticket prices!
Honestly I was going to the concert alone because I don't know anyone in real life who likes kpop. But my boyfriend said no. He said he was worried I was going alone so he is going with me (he secretly likes Girls' Generation shhh). Getting the tickets was such a hassle, the server crashed not once, not twice, but 3 times in my attempt to get nice seats.
I got front row tickets!.... in section 409 lol. It's just that Ticketmaster charges ridiculous "processing fees" that's why I couldn't afford better seats. I went on the Powerhouse website, and they are not charging those fees, and almost for the same price I can get tickets in the 200 section, but it is in the back.
I have a huge dilemma, 409, I'm in front row, but far from the stage. 207 I would be in the back, but closer to the stage, but in the middle of the entire venue. If some artist decide to perform on the other side of the stage, I would just see their backs... mm what do to?
I think I will be keeping my 409 front row ticket. I'm short so everyone is taller than me, and blocks my view. In section 409 I won't have to worry about it. If I get tired of standing up, I can sit down and no one will block my view. Besides, they have screens and all.
Also, I'm only going because I want to see SHINee, I like the other groups, but SHINee is my ultimate favorite, and since the show is only 3 hours long, I might only see SHINee for around 30 minutes. Not worth paying more. I'm also excited to see EXO since they are debuting next week..
So here are a list of things to do before the concert on May 20th.
- Get a nice camera with super zoom (Canon Powershot SX40 HS it was a zoom of 35x!, most cameras only have 5x)
- Buy SHINee glow stick
- Get the baloons from pearlaquaocean
- Learn the fanchats.
- Decide what to wear.
- Pay my car Plates.
- Save money for SM Town goods!
- Meet more Shawols
- Drive safe to the venue.
- Don't fall off the balcony during the concert.
Is anyone going? lets be friends :)

More Japanese Stuff
Hey guys!
On Thursday a friend of mine went to eat japanese food and we decided to go to the Japanese market, we got some nice stuff, so I will show you what I bought.
Ok so I also dragged her to the japanese bookstore, and bought the April issue of Popteen with Tsubasa on the cover.
I've been flipping throught the pages and I love it. I can't read japanese but because they have tons and tons of images it is pretty easy to get a sense of what they are saying. Tutorials are super easy to follow. Anyways my favorite article has been this.
100 outfits based on certain spring color. Obviously this is the blue pages.
Erasers were $1 each, the soccer ball is my boyfriend's. He got very excited when I gave it to him lol.
Daiso eyelashes, I love them, only $1.98!
Diamond lashes, these are "the dolly eye", I've been enjoying my diamond lashes from my last haul, that I decided to try out these.
Also got this Kamipita hair velcro thing. It is to hold your hair while you do your makeup. I wanted another color, but this was the only one left, so because I was only going to use it at home it didn't really matter what color it was.
Super kawaii chopsticks! I don't even know why I got them, I don't even know how to use them.
A pen case.
Lastly, this pack of strawberry pocky! gotta love it.

Fox Tails!
Hey guys!
Apparently I'm late on this trend. I was googling about it and found some articles dated from 2010. It's about the fox tail keychains.
Recently I have seen the fox tail keychains on the Japanese magazines, and I love the way they look. I think it is a fun way to accessorize your purse. I've seen the whole accessorizing your purse with a scarf, and small keychains, but I don't like the way that looks, so generic, like something an older woman would do.

The fox tails look very playful, and they come in many colors and patters, they are so unique. The best of all is that I have seen some pictures of customized fox tails, and they look even cuter!.

I want one so bad!
I actually purchased one from ebay on sunday, but I haven't received any updates from the seller, ugh. I hate when sellers do that, I mean, if the buyer pays for the item immediately, you shouldn't take forever to drop a package to the post office.
Anyways, I purchased a white one, and it is faux fur, because I find it a bit creepy to have a real fox tail. The majority of real tails that are on ebay are around $15 USD and come from China, but I really wanted to abstain from buying from China because from what I've seen from videos they are very cruel to animals, they litteraly peal their fur from their skin while the animal is still alive! Buying faux doesn't hurt anyone right? Faux is actually cheaper too!
So what do you think about the fox tail keychains?

pa Eternal Nail Stickers
Hey guys!
I don't know if you guys remember the 3-D nail stickers I bought the time I went to the Japanese market. I actually hadn't had the time to use them until last week! I'm posting this so late because I couldn't find my camera cable.
They are super pretty!, sadly they only lasted me three days because I used a terrible topcoat. The fact that I also do a lot of typing all day didn't help as well.
The color I used as a base was Milani Beachfront, which is beautiful. Pastel blue with silver shimmers! Milani polishes are very good, they have a great selection of colors and they are cheap.
So these are the nail stickers and still have for another manicure... yay!
The other day I found out that Pretty&Cute is selling these stickers, so I leave you the link in case you guys are interested.
The only thing I don't really like about the stickers is that you have to be very careful when applying them because if you misplace them on your nail, you won't be able to get it off.

Liz Lisa Haul
Hey guys!
I'm so happy because now I own clothes from Liz Lisa!
For the people who don't know about Liz Liza, it's a Japanese gyaru clothing line. Everything, it's so pretty and cute! also expensive.

The thing about Liz Lisa, and other Japanese brands is that they don't ship overseas, so people like me who do not live in Japan, can't really get the products unless, they have family or a friend in Japan (which I don't) or use a shopping service, the one I used was Tenso.com. which is advertized on the Liz Lisa website.
So, I purchased a fukubukuro ( translates into lucky bag, or mystery bag). In Japan they have a tradition that during the new years eve they would sell these bags filled with goodies from the store. The catch? the value of the contents surpasses the price, and you don't know what you will get. So yes, they are very popular. I'm blogging here about a product that came out in December, but I purchased it in February, but my bag got stock in Customs for a month!
The One I purchased was the Princess Ribbon Boston for ¥5250 (around $64 USD) and here are the contents that came with my bag.
I love my new clothes so much! I'm ending this post abruptly here because I'm about to leave for school.

I Need to Vent: Kony 2012 is a SCAM
Hey guys!
I'm totally against the whole Kony 2012 campaign, and before you call me a heartless person, please read and then feel free to judge me.
Anyways, I first heard of this whole thing because people were SPAMMING videos from popular youtubers with "KONY 2012" "Stop Kony" "Make Kony famous." I decided to google it, and found the video from Invisible Children, and watched the whole thing.
I never heard of this guy before, so I obviously has moved the situation, but honestly, anything that involves kids and animals suffering people will make you feel bad.
In the video, Jason Rusell (the filmmaker) is asking everyone to make Joseph Kony famous so that it would be easier to capture him. He is also promoting this "kit" Invisible Children is selling, and is asking for donations.
If only awareness would solve the problems in the world, I guess there would no longer be starving children in Africa, no more hungry people in North Korea, no more animal cruelty would exist. Just saying!
Posting on facebook, blogging and tweeting about it doesn't help!
It has the same impact as you tweeting about how an amazing time you had last night with your friends! None.
So please, before you make a complete fool of your self spamming your facebook with Kony related posts, and wasting your money in Invisible Children you should educate yourself more and research the company!
-The LRA has not been active for the last 6 years!
-It is known that Kony is no longer in Uganda, that he is in Congo, and there is even a rumor that he is dead!
- Even if they find Kony, there is 99.9% change that someone else is going to take his place and be the new head of the LRA
The US Army, is looking for him in Uganda, seems like it is a waste of resources.
Invisible Children is a shady business. It has a rating of 3 star out of 5 in Guidestar.org, the figures I'm about to show you are Invisible Children's expenditures from 2010, you can find them here.
Jason Rusell's Salary $90,000 a year!
That is a good salary, the guy didn't make the film just because he felt compelled to do it, he did it because it is his job! He is the highest paid employee in the organization!
Total revenues in 2010 $13,000,000.
Not bad, considering it all comes from grants, donations, and from merchandise they sell to you!
Compensations were over $1,500,000

Jason Rusell's salary is included in line 5.
Travel expenses of $1,000,000.
(facepalm)
This is what producing the films cost
Over a million dollars!
Want to know how much they spend lobbying?
Nada. They don't spend a dime lobbying for the cause, yet they spend a million dollars on traveling expenses.
This is the amount of money Invisible Children donated to Africa.
Only 16% of their entire revenue.
You can deduct that the rest of the money goes to the officers pockets. Yet they are asking for more!
It seems to me that majority of the people just watched the video and believed everything the video explained, without looking further into the subject. You can't trust everything you see on the internet people!
Xo
Monica
UPDATE
Jason Rusell was arrested yesterday 03/15/12. Want to know why?
He was drunk and masturbating in public... disgusting!

The Tiniest Jar of Vaseline
Hey guys
During the week I went to Target to pick up a few things I was running low on. I couldn't help to notice this!
A super tiny jar of Vaseline, it was only $1.79, so I obviously bought it. This isn't your regular vaseline, it is the "lip therapy" vaseline, but I read the ingredients and they are all the same! Petroleum Jelly.
I love Vaseline, because it is cheap, and you can use it for so many things. My favorite kind is the cocoa butter one, it smells so good!
One of my favorite uses is lip balm. Here in San Diego, winters are not very cold and dry compared to other places where it even snows. You can pretty much get away with just a cardigan. But my lips suffer during winter, they become so chapped and dry, and Vaseline is the only thing that works during this time.
So Vaseline in a tiny jar is good enough for me because, it is so small that i can actually carry this when me.
Vaseline can be a bit too thick for everyday lip balm, so I recommend using this at night before you go to bed, and you will wake up with super soft lips.
