Ballet Inspired Shoes

Hey guys!
One my latest obsessions are ballet styled shoes. I'm not talking about ballet flats in general, but shoes that actually look like ballet slippers and pointe shoes. As a child I wanted to be a ballerina, I think most girls do, because ballerinas are graceful, and usually are seen in those cute pink tutus and just look so pretty. I don't know much about ballet, I never took any classes as a child so  I picked them out based on my perception of a ballerina stereotype.

1- Chloe Square Toe Ballet Flats - $485
I've always loved the way pointe shoes look, and most ballet flats don't even come close to the look of a pointe shoe. These are almost identical, but I can't justify almost $500 for ballet flats!

2- Jeffrey Campbel x Wildfox Couture Ballet Platform - $192
I absolutely love the way these look, I just not that daring to wear this out. I think they would be so pretty even for decoration.

3- Ted Baker London "Charee" -  $150 I've also seen them named as "Imera" I love the metallic leather, and the square toe, it makes it much more realistic to a pointe shoe.

4- Topshop Vibrant Tumbled Ballerinas - $32 Very cute, and simple, also affordable. Although they might not be worth the price because  they don't last too many uses.

5- Loft "Flynn" Satin Ballet Flat- $40  Even though I personally don't like ruched flats, I think colorwise and material wise are like a mix of pointe and ballet slippers.

6- Repetto "Bolchoi"- $290 I think these are so similar to the Ted Baker London Charee, but much more expensive. What is really cool about Repetto is that most of their shoes are dance inspired, and so come in a crazy variety of colors just look at the picture below.

I also want to mention a website I found, Pretty Ballerinas, they only sell ballerina flats,  they are that specialized.

In case you can't afford these shoes there are cheaper options like... bridal dyable shoes! You can dye them any color you want, or take them to a shoe repair shop to get them dyed professionally.

Ouftit of the day- Red Chiffon

Sponsored Post

Hey guys!
I wanted to show you an outfit I put together with this pretty skirt that was kindly sponsored by Oasap.com. I haven't been posting too much these days. I don't actually have anything interesting to talk about.  But yesterday we were planning to go to the movies to watch the Hangover 3 but our plans were kind of messed up and ended  up not going, so we went to hit the bars instead.
Top: forever
Skirt :Oasap, get it here
Shoes: kmart

I truly love the skirt! and not because it was sponsored, but because it is actually very pretty in person. I got mine in wine red, and is not too dark, and comes out very vibrant in pictures.
One I did fold it at the waist once, because it is a bit long for me. I'm very short, and all miniskirts don't look like miniskirts on me. So the length was perfect after folding it.
As you can see the stitching was really nicely done. It is actually a bit more challenging to sew chiffon barbecue the fabric is difficult to work with, so I'm very please that the sewing on the skirt is nicely done.
The skirt is not too expensive at $29 I think it is very fairly priced. Also it comes in a lot of colors, I would like to have it in lavender too.
The skirt came inside this recyclable bag, much better than those plastic wraps.

I really like it, and I know I will be getting a lot of use from it.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté 1 Nude Beige

Hey guys!
I'm not really into purchasing luxury products, but I recently gave in on something I've been wanting for around 2 years. That is a YSL lipstick. I heard so much good things about this lipstick before, so definitely had a lot to do when I went to purchase it.
Price: ♥♥♡♡♡ I don't like the price, it retails for $34 USD. It is very expensive in my opinion, that's why I had never purchased it before, but I had a 20% off card at Sephora last month so I decided to get it.

Packaging: ♥♥♥♥♥ I love it! It's very simply, and the gold tube just screams luxury. The best thing it that it the top of the cap has a mirror, so it is handy.
Formula:♥♥♥♥♡ This is hands down the most creamiest, opaque and long-wearing lipstick that I had ever own. I really like this color, but all of shades are available are gorgeous to begin with. The only thing I don't like it is the scent, it reminds me a lot this Mexican candy called "chaca-chaca". Not that I don't like the scent itself, but I prefer my lips products to have no scent or very faint. I also like that it has SPF 15 so it protects your lips from the sun. I love that you don't need lip gloss because it is shiny on its own.

Here is how I look with the lipstick on. I think it is a great color, suitable for everyday.

Would I recommend it? yes! Would I purchase it again? ONLY if I have some sort of discount.

Killing 2 Birds with 1 Stone: Versatile & Liebster Award

Hey guys!
I've been nominated for this awards a few times, and to be honest I had this in my drafts for a while, I just never got around to doing the actual tag, so here is the Versatile Award. Thank you  everyone that nominated me, and if I forgot to put your name in the list i'm sorry! I won't be tagging anyone because most bloggers have already done this tag, and I want to make a shout out post that would defeat the purpose. So, I was nominated by:
Berry
Rei
Ceecee

Rules:
  • If you are nominated, you have been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award
  • Thank the person who has given you this award. That's common courtesy
  • include a link to their blog. That's common courtesy.
  •  Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you have recently discovered or follow regularly
  • Nominate these bloggers for a Versatile Blogger Award
  • Finally, tell the person who has nominated you 7 things about yourself
Facts about myself
  • I don't like dogs. I can't stand them no matter how "cute" they are since a stray dog killed my pet bunny. My poor bunny could've died peacefully from old age in our home ;'(
  • During my high school years I attended 3 different high schools.
  • When I was in high school I got a "D" on my physical education class. I was super lazy and rebellious.
  • My boyfriend and I had a class together in college, but we never spoke to each other.
  • My hair color is natural.
  • I nearly died in an accident, and was saved by a good Samaritan, if it weren't for him I wouldn't be here and I'm eternally thankful to him. But you know that thing they say when you are about to die you see the "light" and your entire life through your eyes... it's true.
  • I don't like to eat mexican food outside. I would rather much eat it at home. Pretty much this image explains why.

Questions

1- How long do you spend writing and taking pictures for each blog post?
It really depends on the kind of post. If is more like me sharing pictures of a trip it's super easy because I just upload tons of pictures. But if it's a review it is more time consuming because you have to take good pictures, with good detail and then write opinions. I take even more time if it's about a "delicate" subject

2- What subjects did you take/are you taking at school?
A lot of subjects I don't really need in my life.

3-You can only have one piece of colour makeup (so not including foundation/BB etc) what would it be?
It would be pink, because I can use it as blush, lipstick and I know pink eyeshadow doesn't look that good, but I can live without eyeshadow.

4- Name 5 things currently in your handbag!
Wallet, hand cream, mirror, sunglasses, and a set of playing cards (because you never know where you can get bored, and your phone will die).

5- Is there any advice you give to your readers that you don't actually do yourself?
Not that I can think of.

6- If you could only buy your clothes from one shop for the rest of your life, where would you go?
 It would be Forever 21.

7- Do you have any magazine subscriptions or magazines you read regularly?
I actually have a subscription with popteen, and I can't even read japanese.

8- Associate yourself with a colour! Why did you pick that one?
Pink, I love pink, it makes me feel happy, and I think I look better with pink.

9- Would you ever plan on relocating to a different country? If so, where?
No.

10- Have you been to any concerts?
Yes,  but I can't even count how many I've been to.

11- If you could give your readers only one piece of advice, what would it be?

Facts (I'm going to be cheating because I have 7 facts above, so I will only share 4more)
  • I never met my gramma (dad's mom) because she passed away long before I was born.
  • I seriously love iced buns
  • As you probably might notice I love to quote "Means Girls" whenever I can.
  • I own all of Michael Jackson's albums
 My questions
1- If you wake up in the opposite sex's body, what would be the first thing you do?
2- Share one thing from on bucket list
3-  Do you collect something? if so what is it?
4- Favorite video on youtube?
5- What are 3 apps that you have on your phone?
6- If you only had one month left to live, what are some of the things you would do?
7-What's your favorite store?
8-Where do you want to travel the most to?
9- What's your favorite movie?
10-What are your 3 most visited websites?
11-Do you have any pets? If you don't, what animal would you like to have as pet?

San Diego Zoo Safari Park (Picture heavy)

Hey guys!
Yesterday we went to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It's basically the exact same thing as the San Diego Zoo which I went in 2 years ago and mentioned it on this post. Except for they don't have the "safari" attraction and there are no pandas, no polar bears, only "african" animals. I quote "african" because they had some tigers, and tigers are not from Africa.

Here I leave you with some pictures. Mostly animals.
This is not a kangaroo, but a wallaroo
Meerkats

A blue scorpion from god knows where
Cockroaches from Madagascar, they are huge like 2 inches!

you can go up on this ballon and "see" all the animals from up the sky
 View from the Terrace

 cuddly vultures
 Another kind of voltures

A strange monkey with ombre hair

Those little paws from a lion

 Just casually walking a cheetah
Who doesn't love a baby elephant?
 seriously, it's so cute!

We saw some elephants fighting
It's an alligator, and it's 16 years old. That's what the keeper told us.
 I see you

I never noticed how they have these black marks behind their front legs
 Look at those eyelashes!
 It's so beautiful ♥____♥

Lastly here is this picture of this funny looking frog we saw on the way out. It looks like a toy!
