Hair One Sweet Almond Oil Hair Cleanser Conditioner Review

Hello lovelies!

I'm sure all of us know is not good to wash your hair everyday. Most shampoos contain sulfate which strips away all the natural oils in your scalp and hair thus making your hair dry. For me not washing my hair everyday is kind of hard. I have curly hair and it gets VERY messy, poofy and all tangled.

While browsing for a new shampoo I came across Hair One at Sally's. It caught my attention because it is a cleansing conditioner and the description read as follow:

"A salon quality product that provides a new all natural approach to hair care and hair detox that leaves hair cleansed, conditioned and in optimum shape. This conditioner has no damaging detergents or harsh chemicals. It's made with an elixir of natural herbs and oils that clean with astringent and antibacterial properties through a luxurious, penetrating cream without the stripping of detergents. Hair is left with remarkable shine, moisture, manageability and polish."

This cleansing conditioner has different instruction from your regular shampoo. Your hair has to be completely wet, then you have to use quite a LOT of product. 5-7 pumps on the crown, 8-10 on the nape and back, and 5-10 depending on your hair shaft depending on your hair length and thickness. You have to let it seat for around 3 minutes and then rinse it out. I comb my hair before rinsing it. It's has a minty feeling on the scalp.

I went through an entire bottle which lasted me around a month, and here is what it did to my hair.

Packaging ♥♥♥♥♡: The bottle is very sturdy and comes with a pump which helps to measure how much product you are going to put on your hair. What I don't like is that you can't squeeze the product out when it's about to run out. I have to open the bottle and with my fingers try to retrieve it.

Price  ♥♥♥♥♥:  It's $12.5 for a 12oz bottle at Sally's Beauty Supply. I've bought bottles of $30 usd shampoos and did nothing for my hair. So I don't mind paying a bit more than a drugstore shampoo.

Overall ♥♥♥♥♥: I'm so impressed I could cry tears of joy. I honestly just felt my hair softer, and not as poofy. But seeing the side by side comparison it looks so much better. My waves are naturally defined and my hair doesn't look dry. Note that I did not use any styling products or tools, it's all natural. I would keep repurchasing it.

I do reccomend it if you want to bring your hair back to life.

I Dyed My Hair

Hello lovelies!

As the title says I finally had the courage to dye my hair. My hair was virgin, I had never died it before except for the dip dye/ombre I did last year. But that was only on the ends of my hair.

I had been thinking about dying it for a long time. My natural hair color is light brown, people would always complement my color. Still I wanted to dye my hair at least once while I'm young.

Natural hair color
I wanted to lighten my hair a bit, but I didn't want to use bleach. Last year I really damaged my hair trying to get platinum hair. So I did a little research and decided to use the Ion Permanent Creme Color High Lift Natural Blonde 12N. This hair dye can lift up to 5 shades. Warning: it stinks and it made my eyes burn even though they never came in contact with my eyes and didn't even used it on my eyebrows.

The instructions say to  mix 2 ounces of hair dye with 4 ounces of 30 or 40 volume developer. I used 30 because I didn't want to go too light.

The instructions say to leave it on for 50 minutes. I only did it for 15 because I saw my hair was light enough. This was the result.

I'm quite pleased since I wanted hair color similar to Lauren Conrad (not the ombre part)

New Stuff from Sasa, Charlotte Russe, and Lavender Hair

Hey guys!
My order from Sasa arrived earlier this week. I placed an order because they were having a special of free shippping if you purchased at least $19. There were some items that I wanted to buy for a while so I waited for a sale like this because I hate paying for shipping.
The Japanese markets in town sell dolly wink for a whooping $19 each. Sasa has them for 13 and no tax so I purchased some to try out.

- Dolly Wink no. 1
- Dolly Wink Liquid Liner in Black
- Dolly Wink no. 14
- Sana Esteny Hard Gel Massage.

On Friday I went to the mall to buy hair dye and decided to make a stop at Charlotte Russe. It is kind of a Forever21, but I usally don't shop there because the clothes are more geared towards clubbing occasions. This is what I bought.
Cat ear headbands like the Ones from One Spo. Don't know why I bought both, I couldn't decide.

So I did my hair again, because the pink from last week faded in 4 days.  I decided to go Lavender this time.  To get my hair color I mixed a lot of conditioner with a little drop of Manic Panic Ultra Violet and Red Passion.
I read somewhere online that since Ultra violet is a blue based purple it fades to blue, which then looks green on blonde hair. So I thought of canceling out the blue with a little red. This is the result.

I really do like the lavender. My boyfriend said it looks like candy. I think the pink looks better on me because my hair is brown and lavender is a cool toned color and it would look best of platinum hair.

Quest for Pink Hair part 2

Hey guys!
So for the previous part so I won't have to explain all over again click here.

So I had to bleach my hair again.I think it got darker. It got from this
To this brassy ugly yellow.
I thought that toner will solve the problem and it did. I used Manic Panic Virgin Snow.
I got such a nice color and my hair looked so nice! For some reason I thought it was not light enough, and made a big mistake. I REALLY regret what I did next.

I bleached it again, I used heat when I bleached my hair, the other times I didn't and washed it with purple shampoo...
The result.

Brittle hair, no shine, and uber dried hair. Really regret going for that extra bleach. It wasn't even necessary. My hair just feels so thin I feel it is just going to melt if I blowdry it.

I even used my Joico K-pak intense hydrator and did nothing for my poor hair.

So since I reached the platinum shade I needed for pink I went for it.

I used Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink and diluted it with conditioner until I got a Pepto-Bismol Pink.
My poor hair during the process.

So the end result looks like this.
I like how the color turned out, but I don't like touching my hair anymore. I feel like it will break.

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure how I feel after all. It might be the only time I do this to my hair (try to get it to platinum blonde), because I don't like how it looks damaged. I might cut the pink off soon, because I'm now fearing it will give me horrible split ends... I see them coming!

The sad thing is that I will have to wait to grow it out all over again. It sucks.

So I guess I could say "Mission Accomplished?"

Quest for Pink Hair Pt 1

Hey guys!
So this might is going to be a two part entry. I recently decided to dip dye my hair pink. Not a bright bold pink. But more of a pastel pink. I want it exactly like these examples
Does anyone know who she is?
Himena Ousaki
I also love mint hair, but maybe that would be next after I get tired of pink.
Lime from Hello Venus
So the thing is that I've never dyed my hair. Mother never approved of it because my natural hair color was "oh so unique, people want to have your color blah blah blahhh". So I never dyed it.

I'm kind of thankful my mom never allowed it saved me a lot of money and damage to my hair. But still I needed a bit of a change. Since I only decided to dip dye it, it's not like I have to get my roots touched up every so often. Even if I don't like it I just can cut it off and it would like like it never happened.

I did a lot of research on hot to get that shade of pink. It turns out no one really makes that pale of a pink. You have to dilute the hair dye with conditioner. Also, I found out that your hair has to be as blonde as possible, white if possible. So I have to bleach it to death.

In the process I found this chart which I thought was very helpful. Click to enlarge it.
So I went to Sally's and got everything I need it.
-Manic Panic Flash Lightning (bleach powder & developer)
- Salon Care 20 Volume Develper
- One N Only Argan Oil Hair Repairing Mask
- Wellar Color Charm Toner in T-14
- Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink
- Generic Shampoo (Clairol Shimmer Lights)
- Gloves, mixes bowl and brush tint.

One last look at my virgin hair.
After bleaching it for 30 minutes and the restoring mask. Not much of a difference. I have to mention that I used that Wella Color Charm to get rid of the "brassiness" but it did nothing on me.

Since it is not light enough for a pastel color. I needed another round of bleach, but allowed my hair to rest for 2 weeks.

The result after 1 hour of bleach.
Now we are talking blonde
I have to mention that this session of bleach really damaged my hair. It  was so dry and felt stiff afterwards, that I couldn't run my hands through my hair.

So here is what I did to get it back to normal
- Argan Oil Repairing hair mask after bleaching.
-Argan Oil after it dried
- At night I put Almond oil on the ends of my hair
- I did not washed my hair that day
- Put more argan oil
- At night I put coconut oil all over and slept with a shower cap
- Next morning I applied the Joico Kpap Intense Hydrator mask and left it for 3 hours
- That same night I oiled my hair with olive oil

The end result was the picture you see above.

This is it for part 1.
