Sea World

Hello Lovelies!

A while ago my boyfriend was gifted SeaWorld tickets at his job, so we went with him, his sister, and his brother in Law. I had been wanting to go to SeaWorld for ages. I remember how fun it was when my parents brought me here a few times when I was little. The reason holding me back from going was not the controvercies sorrounding SeaWorld, but the price! It's $80 per person to go in the park, I mean for $16 dlls more I can go to Disneyland which I think is WAY better..

Honestly I'm so glad I did not have to pay for admission because I was so disappointed with the park. It's only fun for little kids. I couldn't help but feel bad for the orcas and dolphins. Their tanks are just sad, not decorated, like all the other animals in the park.

It honestly felt like one of these rooms in psychiatric clinics where people are held in solitaire confinement because they are too dangerous. They are all white, and there is nothing in there, nothing that would stimulate the animals. I'm not going to seaworld ever again!

Anyways here are a few pictures because in all honesty, SeaWorld is not worth the time to take pictures.
This was so depressive to watch

Valle de Guadalupe

Hello lovelies!

In August it was 3 of our friend's birthdays, so to celebrate we went to Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico to celebrate. If you are not familiar with Valle de Guadalupe, it is basically like Mexican Napa Valley. We went to visit wineries, wine tasting, and we camped in a a ranch.

Our first stop was intended to be at L.A. Cetto, but it was closed for a private event, so we went to the next winery called La Casa de Doña Lupe.

We bought a bottle and drank it there, we also ate pizza. There was a little shop in there were they sold, bread, spices, and jelly. Can you believe they even had a jalapeño flavored jelly! I regret not buying it because it was actually good.

Then we visited  Baron Balche, Sol de Media noche, and a local place where they sold beer and we had some appetizers before going to the ranch to camp. One of the girls was going to make us sandwiches with the bread and cheeses we bought from the wineries we visited and we still had to set up our stuff there so we left kind of early.
The next day was super chill. We were joking we all were now aunties because we all woke up at 6AM! Everyone else at the camp was still sleeping. We had breakfast and we went swimming at the pool. The funny thing about Mexico is that there isn't really restrictions about where can you drink. Like here in California, you can't drink in public. In Mexico you can drink everywhere. So we drank wine at the pool.

After packing, and putting all of our stuff back in the car we went to Finca Altozano, and omg they had the most delicious food ever in there. The place was beautiful too.

And the view

I took some polaroids too
That's it from the little trip. I loved Valled de Guadalupe so much I want to go back!

Comic Con 2014

Hello Lovelies!

I apologize for being super lazy with my blog lately, but as you will see in the upcoming entries I've been ultra busy. As you know San Diego Comic Con is held every July here in San Diego. Though I didn't have tickets I went there anyways with my friend because it's just fun to see a lot of people dressed up, and besides there is stuff to look at and do even if you don't have tickets. If you want to see my last's year entry about SD Comic-con click here.

So, I will start off my saying it was so lame compared to last year. There wasn't really much to look at.

Of course we had to take a picture with Hello Kitty. We took a picture with the Hello Kitty girls too, they were so adorable!

This mannequin looked so real, and it felt real too
This car was driving around downtown San Diego

Guys promoting Sleeping Hallow
Godzilla
Pretty much that was all to see. There was a The Simpsons booth, but I thought it wasn't too interesting so I didn't take any pictures of it. I hope next year I get to finally purchase tickets to enter the convention, that's something I've been wanting to do for years!

Run or Dye: Rant

Hello lovelies!

In April I went to Run or Dye with one of my good friends. I don't know about other countries, but here in the States there are these kind of events everywhere. It's basically a 5k race, but it isn't really a competition. It's fun because they throw at you colored corn starch at you while you run.
Before we started the face, complete clean
They gave us a "swag bag" and it contained colored cornstarch, we traded colors with some other people we met at the start line and enedup starting the race looking like this.
I had fun, BUT I will not do it again with Run or Dye. Here is why.

Like in any other event they have photographers, and they take pictures of you while you are running, and then you can purchase them later. Well, a photographer took a picture of me and friend running. Here it is.
I liked the picture, so I decide to purchase the cheapest digital download. My only intention was to post it here and on facebook. The picture was $1.95, at the time of purchase I was told on my confirmation email that the picture would be delived int 2-3 business days.

Well that was on June 26th... and it's been over a month and I have not received my damn picture.

I've sent several emails, and nothing, they don't bother to reply back. I admit, $1.95 is not a lot a of money. I won't go bankrupt for that kind of money. BUT the fact that they call themselves a business, they gladly took in my money which I gave in exchange for a product, and don't care about their costumer service is repulsive.

So yeah, never ever going back to them.

Lush R&B Hair Moisturizer Review

Hello lovelies!

I wanted to tell you guys about this hair product I've been using for a few months. I have wavy hair and its dry and kind of frizzy. It doesn't help that I colored lighter and since  I didn't like it, I've dyed it darker a few times already. All that dying and bleaching did take a toll on my hair, it made it more brittle and gave me tons of slit ends.

One day I was searching online for product for curly hair and came across the Lush R&B Moisturizer, it seemed so good that I decided to go to Lush an buy it for myself.

Here is the description on their website:

"Enjoy some of our smooth R & B hair stylings to control your frizzy, flyaway hair. An instant best-seller, our easy-to-use “hair finisher” uses softening ingredients of organic avocado butter, oatmeal, olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil and candelilla wax because they are extremely effective for conditioning the hair and scalp. Three of our UK shop managers came up with R & B to revive and balance their wayward follicles. It works well with African American or curly hair because it conditions with a lot of moisture. And once you smell the seductive orange blossom and jasmine fragrance, your hair will truly get its groove back."

The product comes in the traditional black Lush  jar packaging. I LOVE how my hair looks after I apply it. It leaves it looking shiny, and never looking oily. My hair looks super healthy, and it leaves a lingering scent on my hair, I personally find the scent pleasant , my mom likes it too, but my sister hates it, so I guess it depends on your preferences.

I know it is a little expensive for a hair product, but I only need a little dab for all my hair.  In my opinion it is so worth it.

Daisy Dukes for Summer

Hello lovelies!

I've been intending to get a pair of daisy dukes for this summer. I've been seeing them everywhere lately and to be honest I didn't want to get left behind.  Kindly Oasap.com sent me one pair!
These are their Destroy Effect Denim Shorts in dark blue, they are very comfy to wear them, you don't even have to break them in. Must warn that if you intend to get them go a size up! I'm usually a medium, but these run a bit small, I check with the measurements they offer on their page, and decided to order the large size, and they fit fantastic

The shorts are only $14.90 and being honest they are a steal. I've seen similar items in stores for a much higher price tag and crappy quality. So I definitely recommend to get these shorts

My Perfume Collection

Hello lovelies!

Today I wanted to share with you my perfume collection. I don't think I have an overly huge collection, but it is decent, I have everything I need.

I want to talk first about my setting. as you can see it sits on the on my dresser. The tray I actually found it at goodwill for $2! I don't even think it's meant for perfumes since I found it within the food tray container section. But it does the job perfectly and it's the perfect size. It holds exactly all the my perfume bottles.

So, in no particular order here are all of my perfumes.

Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture
This is my favorite perfume of all time. I don't use it everyday because I want to finish first some other perfumes I don't like so much. I have to say this is the longest lasting perfume in my collection. I can still smell it on me even the day after after I wake up.

Pink Sugar by Aquolina

Another of my favorite ones. This one smells straight up like cotton candy. Very sweet and I like it for everyday use.

Meow! by Katy Perry
If anything comes in a pink cat bottle I'm sold. I bought this without knowing how it smelled, and so glad I did because it is great for both night and day.

Secrets to Keep by Avon
Honestly this perfume is the one I've been wearing the most these days, but it's one of my least favorites. I've been trying to use it up. I only bought it because a coworker was selling Avon, but there is nothing extraordinary about this perfume. It smells very similar to Fantasy by Britney Spears.

Ralph by Ralph Lauren
I highly recommend this perfume for the summer. One of my best friends from college used this perfume and loved it the minute she let me put on some. I feel fresh, clean and like I'm on a beach getaway whenever I wear this.

Betsey Johnson by Betsey Johnson
Boyfriend gave me this without smelling it first. I hadn't smelled this before either, but I'm glad he bought it because it is a great scent for a night out.

Paris Hilton by Paris Hilton
My least favorite of the bunch. You know how perfume smells different on everyone. I didn't believe in that until I got this bottle. One of my cousins used to wear this and she smelled amazing with this. Well I purchased it for myself and it smells terrible on me. I don't use it ever, so it is just using space on my perfume tray.

Wild at Heart from Victoria's Secret Pink
Body spray I like to use for post-workout.
Pure Seduction from Victoria's Secret

Another post-workout body spray. I like this one the least because it stains my shirts.

Extras in my perfume tray
On the left I have the Tonymoly bunny pocket face mist. I don't use it as much, but it looks so cute next to the Katy Perry Perfume. On the right I have a refillable perfume bottle with atomizer. I found it at goodwill for super cheap, it looks so chic.
I believe this one is from Avon too. My grandpa has this thing for buying all the girls in the family avon products, so he gave me this on a Christmas present.

That's it for my perfume collection. What's your favorite perfume from your collection?

Physicians Formula Nude Wear Natural Blush

Hello lovelies!

In one of my not-so-recent trips to the drugstore I stumbled upon a pretty Physicians Formula stand with new produtcts.
The Physicians Formula Nude Wear Collection features bronzers, blushers, face powders and concealers all with natural looking finishes.

I picked up the blush in the Natural shade because I thought it would complement my skintone better than the other one. I can't remember the exact name of the color shade, but it was a pink with blue undertone and I know for sure those look bad on me.

Packaging is cute, the main reason why I bought it, but once I opened it it was kind of a dissapoinment because it is mostly cardboard with thin plastic. It has a mirror and a brush, which can come in handy if you decide to carry this on your purse. However it is cardboard, hence it wont last too long.
Blended and un-blended

Another thing of dissapoinment is that in the packaging the blush looks like it was a bit of sparkly sheen. But it is just an overspray, once you wear it once, that overspray is gone and you are left with a matte blush.
Not much of a difference

I get that this is meant to be natural looking (read sheer), so I can't really complain on the lack of pigmentation. If you really want it to show up you must pack on it, but warning, it ends up looking rather chalky.

Overall I don't recommend buying this product, unless you are barely starting with makeup and want something very natural.
