pa Eternal Nail Stickers

Hey guys!
I don't know if you guys remember the 3-D nail stickers I bought the time I went to the Japanese market. I actually hadn't had the time to use them until last week! I'm posting this so late because I couldn't find my camera cable.
They are super pretty!, sadly they only lasted me three days because I used a terrible topcoat. The fact that I also do a lot of typing all day didn't help as well.
The color I used as a base was Milani Beachfront, which is beautiful. Pastel blue with silver shimmers! Milani polishes are very good, they have a great selection of colors and they are cheap.

So these are the nail stickers and still have for another manicure... yay!

The other day I found out that Pretty&Cute is selling these stickers, so I leave you the link in case you guys are interested.

The only thing I don't really like about the stickers is that you have to be very careful when applying them because if you misplace them on your nail, you won't be able to get it off.

Forget me Nots

Hey guys
I realized a couple of days ago that I have not been posting nail polish swatches. I went through this phase where I was obsessed with it. I slep, ate, and lived for nail polish back then. But it has calmed down a lot!
So today's swatch is one of my newest ones, I bought this during the summer, and I've only worn it twice.

Essie Forget me Nots

Like all essie polishes the quality is great, but not the best. It is a cream, so there is no shimmer, nor glitter nor iridescent sparkle. It is a little sheet, so you have to apply two coats.

I don't think I would not recommended this one unless you like very bright shades, almost neon-like.

Essie Sand Tropez

This nail polish was released with their French Affair collection. It was the only one that cuaught my eye because the other ones looked too similar to other ones I had.

I think it's a very interesting color, it's a nudish brown and looks like it has a little bit of a grey tint to it. Very pretty, and ideal for everyday. However it's very sheer, needs 3 coats and does not apply evenly.

Sinful Colors Innocent

I while back a saw a pretty display of Sinful Colors at Walgreens and this one color caught my attention. I don't have a lot of green polishes, and this one caught my attention. The color is Innocent. Since I bought it when it was very late and dark the color was off, so the next day when i was going to use it the color looked different, but still used it anyways. It is a yellowish green, it is not something very common, but it remided me of OPI Who the Shrek Are You?, which I don't have, so I asked my good friend google, and turns out they are dupes!
The Following Blog has pictures side by side so you can compare them!
http://rastalovenails.blogspot.com/2011/02/comparison-between-sinfulcolors.html

So if you were thinking of buying the OPI you can save big time by buying the Sinful Colors One!

Pinking of You

When I first saw this polish the first thought I had was that it looked like Pepto Bismol. But on the nails it is just a soft pink. Cream finish, last a good time with a top coat and so pretty. It is one of those pinks that looks good on every occasion. I would buy this again.

BTW this color need a two coats because it is sheet, probably 3 would be your best bet.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze

In case you missed the chance to get the OPI Black Shatter from the Katy Perry Collection which is completely sold out and the only way to get a hold to it is if you buy it from ebay. OPI polishes retail from $8-9 US dlls, people on ebay are selling them for $15, a total scam. Luckily China Glaze has released a new collection called Cracle Glaze which consists of 6 polishes in this crackle/shatter form.
I only have 5 of them, they were already sold out of Black Mesh.
The 6 Colors are
-Black Mesh (a cream black)
-Cracked Concrete (a cream grey)
-Lightening Bolt (white)
-Crushed Candy (Tiffany Blue)
-Broken Hearted (hot pink)
-Fault Line (frosty purple)

Here is a swatch of all the colors I have.

I have to mention that they all dry to a matte finish, but that is no problem, just apply a clear nail polish or a shiny top coat. As for the formula they are all kind of gooey, except for cracked concrete which was the easiest to apply. Everytime I wear these I these I get tons of complements from people. They look so much cooler when you wear them with contrasting colors.

Overall I think they are worth checking out, but they are not a holly grail item.

PS
In case you were wondering how different is crushed candy from For Audrey I have a photo with them side by side and they are identical.

Psychedelic Sister

Hi guys!
I know I've been MIA lately, but if you watch the vlog on my youtube channel you'd know that I have a reason.

Anyways... I think that my addiction for nail polish kicked in ... yet again. That means a lot of swatches will be coming up!.

Here I have Urban Decay's Psychedelic Sister from their summer of love set.

I have to say that I love the gorgeous hot pink with orange/red undertones with a cream finish. Cream finishes have always been my favorite. I think Urban Decay put out really awesome colors, but they didn't nailed it with the formula. It is really bad, like $1 nail polish, it chipped on me in just 2 days even wearing Seche Vite.

I would not recommend spending $28 on this set.

Essie at Walmart

Yesterday I went to Walmart to pick up the Hard Candy Glamouflage concealer. I wasn't even going to go to the "nailpolish" aisle, but I remembered I was running low on nail polish remover, and oh to my surprise I saw this....
I was in complete shock, because they changed the packaging!
I think the old packaging was so much cuter, now it looks kind of cheap.
And Look! they even have the New Spring 2011 Collection.

Don't Buy it: Nicole by OPI Love your Life

Pinks are by far my favorite nail polish color. I just love that they are very versatile, you can use them all year round and on about any occasion. So when I was at Target I saw this pretty glittery pink nail polish with hearts and golden shimmer. So irresistible!

I got home and it was a disappointment. I tried so much to like this polish and make it work, but I couldn't. The hearts look very childish on your nails, like something a 5 year old would love, and they are very hard to get out of the bottle. I only used my bottle 3 times and look at how much it's left.

It is impossible to get the hearts out of the bottle. They just sit there at the bottom of the bottle. It is so annoying and frustrating, that I threw this away. I usually throw my stuff when it is very old, but this I just couldn't stand looking at it. I would never bother purchasing another one of these glittery polishes from Nicole.

For Audrey

For Audrey must have to be the most well known polish from China Glaze.
A creme Tiffany blue. Really opaque, and applies heavenly. It is a very unique color, I have not seen anything that looks similar from any other brand. Definitely recommended.

You Just Wait

Sorry guys I haven't been posting as much as I like.
My sister went on vacation and took the camera with her, and I was left camera-less.
But I have this new swatch!
This one is You Just Wait by Sinful Colors. Which is only 1.99 at Walgreens.
I must say that at first I hated it. I love pinks, and was looking for something that was very neutral. The first coat was extremely sheer, the only thing I could see was the golden/green shimmer. So I applied 4 coats in total to get the color opaque.

Still wasn't completely pleased the way it looked. I felt I was something my gramma would wear.

After two days of wearing this polish the color seem to become duller... and that's when i started to love this color!, weird right? I don't know if all the Sinful Colors are like this because I have "this is it" and it did the same thing.

I think this is one polish that is a must have and a staple item, it's a color that will never go out of style, and super cheap!

Purple Rain

So all of you know that Sephora held their Friends and Family Sale a couple of weeks ago. Which was 20% off the entire store. I picked my stuff, and when I was going to check out I still needed a couple bucks to qualify for free shipping. So I started looking at NARS stuff, and found that there was a nail polish with the name of Purple Rain.

My sisters favorite singer is Prince, my mom loves Prince as well, and well that's the name of my favorite song by Prince. So I looked for a swatch online, and it was love at first swatch. I was hesitant to get it because it is $16+tax, but decided to order it for merely sentimental reasons.

I'm so glad I did. The color is beautiful. Deep purple with blue undertones and red shimmer. It applies heavenly... and can you guess how many coats did I needed to get the color that opaque?... just one.
I love it and would purchase it again depite the ridiculous price tag.
You can listen to Prince's Purple Rain here

Moon over Mumbai

I just found the most beautiful nailpolish ♥

OPI Moon Over Mumbai
Its a creamy silver color, it's very sheer, I had to apply 3 coats to get the color somewhat opaque. I think 4 coats will be ideal. It has the same quality as all OPI nail polishes, when I took this picture I've had it on for 5 days. That's the reason you see a little bit of chipping on my index finger.

This polish is great if you want to pull off a clean look, or if you are too scared of using white nail polish, this a great color to check out. It's a very unique color and would definitely repurchase it again.

Mod About You

A couple weeks ago I was at CVS just shopping around.
I saw a Revlon Display with their new nail polishes for summer. One color really stand out for me. The name? Lilac Pastelle. Which coincidentally it has the same name of my favorite Revlon Lipgloss, I took it home with me and I was so excited to wear it. (Also, I didn't have any Revlon Nailpolishes. I used to have several of them when I was in High school)
The color was beautiful... a creamy pale pink with lavander undertones. It was a big disappointment. It was very sheer, streaky, and it took forever to dry, and I'm not saying 30 minutes (which I think that is reasonable)... I'm talking nearly two hours. It was horrible... left me no option but to return it.

Sad that I had found a pretty color, but did not liked the formula I set my self on the quest for a similar color... which I found at a local beauty supply store.

It's an OPI nailpolish as you can tell. Decided to get it because at the time I didn't have any OPI nailpolishes. Since it is $9.00 US dollars (which is super pricey for a nailpolish) and these are a lot of people favorite brand of nailpolish I said to myself... "They must be so good... because everybody raves about them." Wrong.

OPI: Mod About You

Besides the thickness of the brush, which I find very hard to work with. It is so streaky, have to apply 2 or 3 coats. Also, it chips very fast.. I put it on Sunday Night (around 10 pm) and it is Thursday night, and my right index nail has started to chip. I think is not really worth the price nor the rave people give these nailpolishes. One good thing is that it dried fast. Might repurchse since i really do love the color.

Secret Peri-Wink

So I know that I have been on a nail polish trance. I wasn't really a nailpolish person until recently. Pretty much my whole high school year I used to wear this bright hot pink nailpolish from Revlon [can't remember the name of it sorry :( ] and that was it.

So i finished up that only bottle that I had and never went back to get a new polish, now i feel that everytime I go to somewhere i always come back with one nail polish.

Anyways.... so here is my latest aquisition.

Guess what?? China Glaze... again.
The color is BEAUTIFUL. Never seen anything close to it before. Unfortunately is Limited Edition, and at my sally's they only had 2 bottles left.

Honestly I have no idea what collection this came out with.

MIA + Nail Polish Swatch

Hey guys!

how's everybody doing?

I want to apologized for not posting here in a while. I really dont have an excuse, so i guess you can blame it on the lazyness.

I have been shopping for nailpolishes lately, came across this one that i tought was so pretty <3

This one is Fairy Dust by China Glaze, gorgeous color on the bottle, looks like a grey with lots of multicolor sparkles, but actually is quite sheer, i'm wearing 2 coats, and you can see through it. Probably this will look so much better with a darker polish below and on top of it this one.

As for the staying power, I tought it was going to be so much better. It's just average. It has a strong smell to it :( [ which i don't like]

But it is soooo pretty when the sun hits it. [sparkles like a cullen :P]

Peas and Q's

I went to target serching for a mint green nail polish and came across this.

Nicole by OPI, the color is Peas and Q's.
I believe it was around $7.04 . But first coat was very streaky, and takes so long to dry.
Applied this on a Thursday night, and Sunday morning it started to chip.

FYI I used a base and a top coat.
Very pretty color, but the staying power is not very good.
